UEFA Grassroots Week Continues in Almaty Region

The director of the school, Tatyana Andriyanova, the head of the academic department Zhuldyz Bekenova, teachers of physical culture and the executive director of the Football Association of Almaty region Alexander Nikulin attended the event.

Mr. Nikulin told the students about the development of football, its importance throughout the world, about the current UEFA Grassroots Week in Kazakhstan, its goals and objectives. Also he noted the fruitful work of the teaching staff in the development of football. Secondary school №12 has excellent conditions for training young football players - 2 playing fields with artificial turf. Their positive results in different regional and republican competitions prove the development of football.

As Director Tatyana Andriyanova noted, the school would continue its work in order to improve the development and also would help find promising young players and select them to the sports schools of the city and the ''Zhetysu'' football center.

The program of the UEFA Grassroots Week at this school includes an open football lesson for physical education teachers of the region and competitions between students. All contests and tests will have different directions on a general topic - football quizzes, football history, football pictures and magazines, at the end of the UEFA Grassrots Week they will play football matches and the winners will be awarded with prizes, provided by the Kazakhstan Football Federation.

At the end of the event, on behalf of the Kazakhstan Football Federation, the school was given balls for conducting competitions in physical education lessons.
