Football season starts in Kazakhstan

The preliminary stage of the republican tournament "Arman" among youth teams of football clubs has started in Taraz.

Players born not later than in 2005 take part in the annual competition. The tournament will be held in two stages - preliminary and final. At the first stage, 20 teams will be divided into four groups. Following the results of the preliminary round, the two best teams from each group will advance to the final stage, which will be held from March 24 to March 31, 2023.

Recall that the current winner of the republican tournament "Arman" is Pavlodar "Aksu". Last year, a team from Pavlodar region beat Almaty "Kairat" with 2:1 in the final.

Starting this year, all games of the youth tournaments are planned to be shown live on the YouTube channel of the KFF Zhastar Football.

Children and youth competitions “Arman” and “Zhastar” have been traditional for several years and are held annually. The main objectives of these competitions is to view potential players for the Kazakhstan U-17 and U-19.

“I would like to thank the sports department of the Zhambyl region, as well as sports school No. 5 for the opportunity to hold the tournament. I hope we will continue to cooperate in this direction, create a reserve of players for the national team of Kazakhstan,” said Sergey Kenetaev, director of the KFF youth football department.

There was everything on the first game day of the tournament: a goal in the last minutes, an own goal, a send-off, a penalty and an unrealized penalty. In the opening match, the boys "Kairat" and "Atyrau" parted without goals (0:0).

In the second game, ''Shakhter'' defeated their peers from ''Aktobe'' 3:1.

Then "Taraz" won over "Akzhaiyk" with a score of 2:1.

"Kaisar" confidently beat "Zhetysu" 2:0 in the final meeting.
