Baurzhan Sagyndyk: “We need to build up the game model”

–  What would you say about the first training camp held under your leadership?

– I am quite satisfied with the training process, we could see all the players, told them about the requirements and game model in the team. Everything that was planned was accomplished. I would like to express special gratitude to the base staff for the most comfortable conditions for conducting such training camps.

– You have just headed the U-17 team. What is your first goal?

– First of all, I want to express my deep gratitude to the leadership of the Kazakhstan Football Federation for this opportunity to work with the Kazakhstan youth team. The team is mostly composed of the players of FC Kairat, since their Academy brings together the best football players from different regions. However, this does not exclude inviting football players from teams in the future. At the end of the Development Cup we plan to visit the republican tournament “Zhastar”, where all football centers and academies will take part. As part of this tournament, we plan to conduct a selection.

– Last year the team won the silver medal at the Development Cup. How would you rate the chances this year?

–  We are aiming to match last year's success and also want to gain international experience, improve game connections and identify areas to work on in the future.

– What are the team’s plans for the new season?

– As part of the preparation for the qualification, five training camps are planned, the main goal is the development of players and reaching the final stage of the UEFA Under-17 Championship. Now the most important thing is to build up the game model and carry out selection before the qualifying games. The good thing is that football players born in 2008 will take part in the QJ league, where modern technologies are used to analyze the gaming activity of teams and players, which will allow for high-quality selection.
