Josef Klemen performed at the regular conference of the Kazakhstan Football Federation
“Over the summer, Europe's attention was focused on Germany, which hosted the final round of Euro 2024, which was truly unforgettable. The championship ended successfully, both in terms of organization and sporting achievements, and UEFA made more than €2 billion in profit. From this season, the organization has introduced a new format and system for distributing funds in club competitions, aimed at reinforcing the principles of solidarity that are at the heart of European football.
All funds earned in soccer are put back into football by going to national associations or clubs. We are confident that this mechanism will contribute to the further development of our wonderful game in all 55 UEFA member associations, including the Kazakhstan Football Federation, which stands out for its activism.
The successful implementation of your strategic plan is aimed at developing all aspects of football - from grassroots and women's football to improving infrastructure, amateur and professional levels. A lot of work has already been done, but there are still many challenges ahead. I am particularly pleased that cooperation and communication between UEFA and KFF has been improved markedly.
Many of our experts regularly visit your country and stay in touch with KFF staff. For example, last week I visited you together with two experts from the integrity department to discuss measures to combat negative phenomena such as match-fixing. My team is also supporting you in your marketing and communication efforts. I wish you success in all your endeavors and good luck to your national teams in the upcoming competitions,” said Josef Klement.
