The next 72nd FIFA Congress was held in Qatar with the participation of all National Associations
As part of participation in the Congress, KFF President carried out several important meetings with the heads of other National Associations on further cooperation.
The agenda of the Congress included issues on summing up the results of 2021, presentation of financial statements for this period, approval of the budget for 2023, as well as amendments to the regulatory documents of the organization.
The Qatar Football Federation presented the progress of the preparations for the 2022 World Cup to all participants of the Congress.
Also, one of the important issues of the Congress was the suspension of membership of three national federations: Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Kenya. The Congress decided to suspend the membership of all abovementioned federations in FIFA due to the political interference of the governments of these countries in football management which are contrary to statuary documents of FIFA.
At the next 73rd FIFA Congress in 2023, the current head of the international organization, Gianni Infantino, will run for the post in the presidential election.
