Acting head coach of Kazakhstan national team appointed

Ali Khanalievich Aliyev was born on October 27, 1980 in Almaty. In his playing career he performed for such Kazakhstani clubs as “CSKA-Kairat”, “Kairat”, “Irtysh”, “Tobol”, “Vostok”, “Ordabasy” and “Qyzyljar”. He has also played for Turkish clubs “Akçaabat Sebatspor”, “Kayseri Erciyesspor”, “Kartalspor” and “Diyarbakirspor”.
In 1999, he played for the Kazakhstan U-20 team at the Youth World Cup, which was held in Nigeria. His debut for the national team took place in 2002 in a friendly match against Estonia.
Ali Aliyev began his coaching career as a playing coach in FC Ordabasy in 2014. After his playing career ended in 2018, he took charge of FC Qyzyljar and led the team to the Premier League.
In 2021, he headed FC Shakhter from Karaganda and after he became the head coach of FC Astana (youth squad).
In 2022, he managed the team Zhenis, after which he again headed FC Qyzyljar. Under his leadership the football club from Petropavlovsk reached the third round of the UEFA Conference League qualification, where they defeated the Croatian FC Osijek.
The former players of the national team Nurbol Zhumaskaliev and Yeldos Akhmetov have been appointed as assistant coaches.
Nurbol Zhumaskaliev is the record holder in the number of matches played and the top scorer in the Premier League, scoring 167 goals in 526 matches.
From 2001 to 2014 he played the Kazakhstan national team (58 matches).
In 2021-2023 he worked as an assistant head coach of the Kazakhstan U21 team.
Yeldos Akhmetov also performed for the Kazakhstan national team in 2012-2022. In 2024, worked as an assistant head coach of the Kazakhstan U21 team, and in October 2024, he joined the coaching staff of the national team.
